What is preventing you from upgrading?

Yesterday I said I’d be interested in hearing from anyone stuck on AngularJS 1.5. I asked: “What is preventing you from upgrading from 1.6”?

I got an interesting reply. They said: “I’m waiting to see if Angular (5) takes off”.

Well, I have some good news for you… It has!

Last week, ng-conf was held in Salt Lake City. It’s the biggest Angular conference in the World. All the Angular Superstars were there. Ward Bell, John Papa, Mink Gechev, Jeff Cross, Kara Erickson. The list goes on and on.

The keynote was given by Brad Green. You can watch it here. To hear him talking about the number of developers using Angular scroll to 1:20. Here’s what he said:

“We are excited with how fast the Angular community has been growing and if we look at just the last 3 months of 2017 we can see that we actually passed a really critical benchmark. We have over a million developers coming to the Angular.io website every month. This is just incredible.

If we look now we actually have over 1.25 million developers coming every month. So the growth is just incredible.
Thank-you so much for being part of this, thanks for making Angular one of the most adopted frameworks on the planet.”

The rest of the world isn’t waiting to use Angular. Why are you?

Yours,
Darryl
