Let’s celebrate what we have in common

I received a really nice reply to my newsletter yesterday. It was from a vue.js developer and she was explaining what she liked and disliked about NativeScript.

It was really refreshing to receive positive feedback from a member of another community. I usually hear from the trolls. They love telling me I’m an idiot and how their framework will solve all my problems.

So today I want to celebrate what we have in common. NativeScript lets any javascript developer, regardless of framework, develop native applications.

I’ve taken the time to learn React and Vue. I hang out in their communities. I’ve used jQuery, Knockout and Bootstrap for years. They all bring something to the table and they all have their use-cases. There’s no one-size-fits-all. We can all learn something from everyone else.

I’m in a reflective mood today because Manchester (the city I live in) is remembering the people killed and injured in last years suicide bombing at an Ariana Grande concert. The suicide bomber killed 22 people and injured another 112. It kinda puts petty framework wars in perspective.

Bee Strong Manchester xx
